The hotel is situated in the Wokefield, not the mansion, surrounded by beautiful countryside. The rooms in a separate building were spacious and nice, though the bathroom heating couldn't be turned off. The location seemed stunning, and the staff were very helpful despite Storm Dennis limiting outdoor exploration. The dining experience was a bit expensive and canteen-style, with some service delays. My stay at the hotel was truly exceptional. The rooms were without a doubt second to none - absolutely incredible. They were very basic but typical of a conference hotel. The size was very good, comfortable, nicely decorated, and exceptionally clean. However, there was an issue with the unexpected £50 charge for extras that we didn't authorize, explained as a pre-authorization but felt more like a payment.
